Art Group – Wednesday, October 26

Toddlers, Twos and Threes Art Group had some spooky paint fun this week. We made our very own marble cobweb prints. The kids loved handling the paint covered marbles, dropping them into each box, then rolling them all around on the paper inside. The end results were stark and lovely. Delicate, even…

Or maybe not. Some kids make every painting project fingerpainting time, which is a great because it shows them how projects can be done in many different ways. Introducing them to different creative processes doesn’t mean negating what they love to do most.

The results can come out simple…

Sometimes, the work takes a while to develop. Remember if you’ve been shaking the box for a while, the marbles might need to be dipped in paint again. Drops of paint can be applied directly to the page as well.

If doing this at home, you can use a small cardboard or plastic box. Use different marble sizes to get a variety of effects. Experiment with different colored paper and paints, or throw in other textural elements to mix it up.

Toddlers, Twos and Threes Art Group meets every Wednesday at 10 am and is open to all members and visitors (with paid admission to PTLL’s playspace). The group is run by Megan Spak and Elisabeth Moyer.
