Storytime Picks from Monday, October 24

The leaves are finally changing and there’s a consistent chill to the air, but storytime at TLL is always warm and welcoming! We continued our celebration of Autumn by sharing a book of Fall colors and textures and decorating some bare trees with homemade leaf stickers:

I Love Fall! by Alison Inches, illus. by Hiroe Nakata

Touch-and-feel and other forms of interactive books are great ways to introduce your little ones to reading. You can read the simple story to them, guide their hands in touching the various textures, point out colors, and act out sounds. For young children just starting to understand basic concepts, interactive books can give them the extra experience needed to have fun with learning the world around them.

This Fall, immerse your kids in these interactive titles:

Where is Baby’s Pumpkin? by Karen Katz

Fall by Roger Priddy

Welcome Fall from Little Scholastic

Halloween Bugs by David A. Carter

One, Two… Boo! by Kristen L. Depkin

is held every Monday at 10 am and is intended for all ages
